Procedures and Documentation of Claim
Upon receiving a shipment suspected to be damaged or face any kind of claim, as detailed in our services above, you can approach us on the given contact details, 24 hours a day seven days a week, and we will handle your claim immediately without any delay and guide you to take the necessary procedures to reserve your right in claiming the liable party.
Prepare all required documents as follows:
Documents required for claims handling:
For all claims:
- Original insurance certificate or policy.
- Original supplier’s invoice.
- Original packing list and weight or inventory list.
- Original delivery note with reserves.
- Customs Declaration Form.
- Copy of letter of protest to carrier / liable party.
- Copy of carrier's / liable party's reply.
- Correspondence exchanged with carriers / liable parties.
The following documents and information are required for the various means of transport in
addition to the above mentioned documents:
Road shipments:
- Original CMR Waybill.
- Confirmation of the damage or statement from driver regarding circumstances of the damage.
Ocean shipments:
- Original Bill of Lading.
- Survey Report at loading port (if applicable).
- Copy of letter of protest to the ship’s agents.
- Reply from ship’s agents confirming loss or damage.
Containerized shipments:
- Inter-container Transfer Note.
- If container delivered by road transport reserves to be made on the CMR Consignment Note and countersigned by the driver.
- Notify us immediately before releasing the container enabling us to witness the container condition.
Air Shipments:
- Original Airway bill.
- Cargo Damage Report to be requested from airline prior to taking delivery of the consignment.
